Starting from number eleven there are five new photographs on the Photo Page.

Not many more photographs to go onto the Photo Page.

Autumn trees at Rufford Country Park.

A Swan on the lookout for Bread.

Autumn in the woods at Rufford country Park.

Not an exotic location but I woke up to the most beautiful Sunrise.

And then a few days later a lovely Sunset. From Judy.

We weaned Socks and Solo from Emmi and Lady today. Not something we like doing and we do try to leave it for as long as we can. But unfortunately the day has to come. For the past few days I had noticed Emmi trying to stop Socks from suckling by lifting her hind leg to push him away. When Mares start to do that there is always a chance that the Foal will get a kick.

We normally stable both the Mares and the Foals when we wean. This year we have only stabled the Foals, letting the Mares back out into the Horse Field. The Mares didn’t realise the Foals had not followed them to the Field until a good quarter of an hour after. It will take a few days for both the Mares and Foals to get through the ordeal, In that time they will be calling to each other throughout. I will put the two Foals on the webcams so that you can see them.

The Badgers are not leaving the Sett for the feed we leave out as much as normal. It is cold when the Sun goes down so they are only venturing out when they need to and because they know that there is food for them without having to venture far from the warmth of their home.

If it is the Fountain in the middle of Lake Geneva Mary was asking about. No it wasn’t working. This trip was the latest in the year that I have visited Geneva, it has always been working on other visits.
