So much news that I have missed. Elsie so glad that everything turned out well for Harold and sorry for what you have been through recently. Jenny sorry that hubby is still in pain, hopefully it will gradually reduce over time. Mick hope your treatment is over soon, lovely news about the birds in your garden. Karen Stoke sorry that you are having medication troubles I know how hard that is.

We finally have some warm weather and the snow is almost melted. it is 10 degrees today and going up to 16 C later in the week. I have started the 4 weeks of the flagyl but when I filled the prescription it is only 2 x per day instead of 4 x per day which is much easier on the system. I may be repeating myself but they did find a polyp in the 12 inches of the small bowel that they were able to examine but who knows how many more?? They also took a lot of biopsies and I get all the results on the 29th

Have a good week everyone and keep well. Betty Canada.

Elsie I am Overwhelmed Harold is coming home tonight Fabulous! News indeed…. I have been so worried for you on your own it must be awful for you I know how it feels as when Nicola left home to go Uni I was lost I used to go to the pub so I didn’t have to come home from work to an empty house.

Jenny the right medication I am going to ask him shortly if I am getting paid for trying out all these pills I tell you I have never not had sleep like I am doing now and that alone is depressing me I am going to have to make him hear me this Friday about sleep I am ratty and miserable trapped in a bubble at the moment I am off to Nicolas Easter weekend Fred and I cant wait… all that wild countryside makes me feel happy. Karen Stoke

Jenny, I am getting on ok but again this Saturday got to go in for some more. Its not the injection into the eye but the waiting around I don’t like. As you get older it seems that the hospitals become your second home the amount of time we spend there.
I had a Sparrow Hawk in the garden today right by my conservatory and it got one of my Sparrows that was nesting on my house, well my wife told me off for letting it in the garden, as if I could stop it (lovely looking bird though (female)).
Elsie, excellent news now all you have to do is look after one another.
Mr Farmer, looking forward to seeing the cygnets when they hatch. Pity you can’t throw a great big net over the lake to stop the flying predators and an electric fence to keep the others out.
Karen, just get your medication sorted out as you should not need to feel more ill than you are.
Mick

WOW Elsie that is excellent news about Harold and that he is coming home ! Of course you must be a very happy woman, just look after each other now because as we are getting older life seems to be so very precious !

Karen good to hear from you. Keep your chin up I am sure the person you are being referred to will eventually find the right medication to help you, you just have to bare with it as it takes time !

Mick, how are you getting on with your eye ?

Lovely to see Mabel on the nest again !

GOOD NEWS Harold is coming home. It hadn’t been a clot on the brain but there had been some bleeding. I am a happy woman now, and thank you all so much for your kind thoughts xx.

Have not had good report about Harold, they think he may have s clot on the brain. It is breaking my heart because I can’t get in to see him. Liz is going to ask for a short time of work tomorrow afternoon to go and see him.she will get to know more then. I just feel so helpless and want so much to see him. Will keep you informed as to what is happening, a big thank you for all your support.

Mick I am waiting to go and see a physico thearapist so he can put me on the right medication as the dr is limited to what he can prescribe sorry if I have spelt it wrong. Karen Stoke

Karen, Nice to see that you are back even though you are going through a rough time of it, but you must speak to your doctor and he or she should be able to change your medication until you get it right. If I need to have a word with my doctor then all I have to do is book a phone call and he rings me back on the time of the booking and if he is not sure then he contacts the hospital to speak to my specialist.
Anyway hope you get it all sorted out soon.
Mick

Aw Elsie I am so saddened to hear your bad news the second post cheered me up though its not a second stroke, I hope he is home with you very, soon give him my love when you see him and tell him all the lady’s are rooting for him and Mick, of course.. I hope you have some one looking after you Elsie? I have not been well myself this desert storm has made straight for my big nostrils oh my word I have such a cough and these pills he has me on I cant sleep on them hes going have to sort something I feel like a dam robot… I have no memory keep forgetting Mabel is back usually I am jumping round but I think I am depressed but the pills wont let me cry I can not get used to the idea my Arthur has gone we went the cemetery last week to visit his Grave what a mistake we took Jayden with us well he just wanted to empty all the water out of un kept graves and refill them oh my word if you had have seen us it would have made good TV I can laugh now but at the time I could have run off he would not do as his told he was enjoying himself to much when we tried to lead him away he would run like the clappers holding the flower pots well Tina has a bad back she tried to make a grab for him and fell he run like the wind I had hold of Fred, trying to lift Tina up and trying to coax a laughing 3 year old back to us then to top it off he started to cry on the way home he was tired lol so guess who had to carry him I was almost dead when I got home lol I will catch up with you all soon promise but I have a mountain of housework to do and I can honestly say I don’t want to do….. Karen Stoke

Apparently Harold has not had stroke, it is something to do with a nerve, Scan have been sent to Leeds General and a Neurologist is going to see him this morning. I feel really lost without him this morning. Will get back to this now, Nurse has been to dress my leg, it is looking good now that all the black dead skin has gone leaving the pink flesh showing. Afraid it is going to be one long job. Never mind there are a lot of people with worse ailments than this. Hope you are all enjoying watching the Lady of the Loch, what a miracle bird she is. Takes some believing actually. Take care all of you xx.

Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts, they really do help. Up to now I haven’t anything from the hospital and with me being wheelchair bound I can’t go to see him. I am hoping they are doing an angiagram on him which they should have done two weeks ago.

Dear Elsie I was so sorry to hear of Harold’s illness. I wish him a speedy recovery and you are both in my thoughts and prayers. Val x

Oh dear Elsie I am so very sorry to hear about Harold and I can only but wish him a very speedy recovery ! Thinking of you both

Elsie, So sorry to read about your bad news. It seems that just as you start to pick yourself up then something else seems to happen. I just hope you and Harold get through this OK . I’m sorry I just don’t know what else I can say but hope.
Mick

Elsie I am so sorry to read this! Sending you all my love!! Hope he makes a speedy recovery

If any one else is friends with Elsie on facebook PLEASE PLEASE do not mention what she has put on here Thank you

I am afraid my news is not good. Harold has had his second stroke in two weeks. The one affected his speech and they kept him in a couple of nights. H e had the second one at lunch time today so is back in in hospital again. He has lost the feeling in his left leg and his left arm is very weak. Elaine and Karen please don’t mention it on Facebook because of his daughter. For the last eight weeks everything has gone wrong, starting with having max put to sleep.

Jenny, I too was sitting in my conservatory watching the birds in the garden when a lovely Red Kite came over the roof in front of me, but it had a Sparrow Hawk mocking it and the Kite just carried on as if it was a fly. The Sparrow Hawk after a while of trying to attack it then decided to drop into a small wood just across the river from me in Sandhurst.
I have just found a Dunnock nesting about 4 feet from the Wrens nest and about 4 feet the other side is a Blue Tits nest. The Wrens nest is in a sheltered seating area beside my pond and so all the birds give me a load of grief when I stop to feed my fish or take out the fallen leaves.
I hope you all like my brothers wildlife photos that often appear on the right of all the screens including this one
Mick

Thanks Mr Farmer for getting the Forum back up and running ! Have missed all the chats from our lovely friends on the Forum

Finally managed to see a couple of the lambs earlier in the barn awww they look so cute Sadly haven’t seen any badgers yet

Jan have to tell you that Kate, our daughters partner was so happy and she just had to tell me yesterday that she was looking out of the bedroom window around 7 am as she could hear lots of noise and about 6″ away from the window which zoomed passed was a Red Kite which was being chased by a crow ! She said the noise was terrible but the Kite managed to get away

John isn’t too good and has been back to see his Consultant as he is still feeling uncomfortable and has been told that he has a haematoma internally which could take ages to disburse ! Apart from that we have also been looking after Roger our son who had an operation on his back recently so have been somewhat busy ! Oh yes and also looking after Sam, our grandson

So good to see Mabel is back on the nest with Toy Boy Loch of Lowes have reported that they have been mating so lets hope that she does produce some chicks this year ! and that they survive

Val, Betty, Elsie and Karen sincerely hope that you are all well ?

Jenny x
