Well it seems there was some drama near to the Osprey some clown got to close. It was not anything sinister they must have gotten off the beaten track thankfully we have people looking after our resident Osprey so closely but the pair did leave the nest for 15 mins not good for the eggs fingers crossed they will survive..

I hope you are all well I seem to be taking to this last lot of medication its suiting me at the moment I feel it

I stood under a tree the other day listening to a chaffinch, what a beautiful bird they are but the song coming off it is just amazing its mad if you stare up the tree when you first hear them our eyes can not pick them up at first until they move its quite something….

I got some compost and potatoes to plant and let Jayden who is now 5 plant them I nearly chopped my finger off during this process oh it is sore

What a shame Lost Gardens of Helicon Owl cam isn’t as good a picture as this and site not working after 3 days.
Glad I have found this site picture is so good too.
So now I am visiting 3 sites the other is the Chichester Cathedral Peregrines

Barn owls usually lay 5 to 6 eggs. The female starts incubating the eggs as soon as the first egg is laid, and lays an egg every 2-3 days. The eggs hatch after 31-32 days incubation, and will hatch in the order they were laid (ie 2-3 day intervals).
copied from a barn owl website, hope this answers your question, happy viewing 🙂

Barn Owl camera back up and running, Yay, loose plug, haha almost suggested that as a joke as its happened to me before….. oh well pictures back how many eggs is she sitting on now?

That’s a shame, I will keep checking as the other day it didn’t work then later it came back online, that’s the problem with webcams in remote area’s the signal isn’t always good. but I will keep trying to watch, as I do love watching the balls of fluff when they hatch 🙂 🙂

apparently the barn owls have 5 eggs now, WOW hope its a good year for voles and they have enough food for them all to survive 🙂

Yes Jan it has laid one egg so far !

Hope you are well as not heard from you for a long time !

We are fine and still going to and from Little Munden !!

Jenny x

Sorry Jenny, I did disappear for a while, have had a few problems since just before Christmas, small health issues nothing serious, also computer issues windows 10 killed my computer, but all sorted now 🙂 Good to hear your both well and still coming up to Hertfordshire, lots of buzzards out pairing up now, love watching them display over the woods 🙂
