We were watching the badgers and foxes feed on camera2 tonight and noticed one of the larger badgers limping, it was holding up its front left paw, we thought that maybe it was the other one that was fighting last night. Also, a question from my son…. who are the most dominant, the badgers or the foxes? Because the foxes seem to eat on the outside of the circle with the badgers in the middle, when ever the badgers move the foxes seem to move away.
The Badgers are the bosses, now and then a youngster may back away if it is on its own and challenged by more than one Fox
The entry in your diary about the badgers fighting, and one found dead in your orchard, was both facinating and sad. It must have been a strange sound and sight to behold, alass that is the downside to nature as we are all aware. I have only ever counted ten badgers once on cam 2 i always count 9 so tonight sun 11th i only counted 8 when they had finished there feast off they went leaving one behind from what i could see he had some kind of injury to his left foot or leg as he was clearly holding it up , so i think that must be the other badger that won the fight. The only thing one can hope is that it is not a serious injury and he heals quickly. Well denbury farm i would like to thank you again for your site its both addictive absolutly the best thank you…karen stoke on trent.
Just looked into camera #1, and, almost as though it knew I was there, a squirrel scarpered! Haven’t seen any for ages. Maybe they’re SHY! Julia XX
I see the baby doves have hatched out. Does the male dove ever attend the nest.

This is the best site in the whole wide world. It reminds me of James Herrit (excuse spelling) ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ It has the makings of a book- a TV show. I can see it now.I think it could even get bigger. I would love to see s dinnner time discussion in the farmhouse. I know it seems we want more all the time. But sort of like your ‘Live’ diary.
Is that possible?
Thanks so much for adding to my Life. I can’t wait to come home from my busy day and get into bed and watch all the fascinating cameras. I can see badgers and foxes and bunny rabbits and mice. I can see wild animals abounding and ghosts a haunting. I get to read your diary and see horses a foaling and sheep a lambing. I saw the eclipse and I see so many wonderful yhings. Keep up the good work.

Although I have not managed to catch Tass and Ky out and about on the farm, your description of the days happenings is so amusing and entertaining, that I can almost picture it ! Many thanks for all your efforts for keeping us up-to-date with life on the Farm.

Would love to see the Barn Owl Trust webcam up and running again, is there a problem with it? I have only managed to see it working on one occasion over the past few months. Graham Surry
It is working, try left clicking on screen, then right click and select play/pause.
It is just about 2pm and I have been watching the lambs feeding. What a wonderful sight and good to see that mother and babies are doing well. Elsie West Yorkshire
is woody the white horse and is she pregnant too if so when is she due, do you think the black horse will last out till 23 march or do you think she’ll have her foal early
Yes Woody is the white horse (grey)she is due to foal about a month later than Lady. You cant tell when they will foal, you work on 11 months after they mate.
I’ve got to agree with Dinah – it seems that you continually go out of your way for our enjoyment. The diary makes very interesting reading and the various webcams are fascinating. The fact that viewers from all around the globe are commenting on this forum in itself adds interest. There are probably many reasons to moan about the passing of the “good old days” and how new technology is not always such a good thing, but when that same technology is used in such an exciting and educational way, I feel it is very positive. Thank you very much.

amazing what else can i say to see the lunar eclipse so clear was such a thrill loved it thank you.I would also like to apoligise for my failing eye sight for mistaking JADE for a border collie,She can certainly move for her age bless her . Have to say i am loving the diary i cried when i read about you tracking the ewe down and saving the lambs life it was a lovely entry .Then to read that badgers could be shot by farmers made me feel so angry and sick. Thanks again for this site i dont no what i would do without you karen stoke on trent
What a lovely story you told about the arrival of the twin lambs. What a blessing you were there to save that little one, it must make your job all worthwhile when something like that happens. Sorry I missed the lunar eclipse, that must have been some sight, I keep looking in to the astrocams, but so far no luck which must be due to the terrible weather we are having at the moment. What fascinating reading your diary makes and I am sure everyone who
looks in is so grateful to you for
all your efforts. Many, many thanks.

thanks god you got the astrocam working!!brilliant pics.thanks alot deborah from lincoln
someone wrote on how there is nothing to ‘see’ on the ghost camera but it’s not just about the seeing of the ghosts it’s I suppose an expectation or a openess to see many things…Just because one doesn’t ‘see’ love’ or oxygen it is there. It is present.
I am 50 years of age and believe in everything. I am sure the owners of the home see things all the time. Just allow yourself to open to the possibility of seeing something and you will. It does happen. It is real and true.
I am totally thrilled to see the astrocam showing tonight’s lunar eclipse – and so clearly! Thank you so much! I have been outside to see it but cannot get good photos – seeing it on the webcam is so clear. Also saw Jade, Tass and Ky out walking this evening. Should we be reading frisKY, sparKY, or perKY. If so, I can understand why the name was chosen! Thanks again, Julia, North Somerset. XX
Wonderful to watch the badgers. How many badger setts have you on the farm? Camera two is always busier than camera one. I hope this new law as to shooting badgers does not happen. Why people want to get rid of our wild life just amazes me. Can’t they understand the pleasure that all our creatures give us.

Five setts. Cam 1 and 2 are the same sett at different entrances
